Skiing has been part of Norwegian culture since the Viking Age. Archaeological findings show that Norwegians have been using skis for over 4,000 years. The Vikings made their own wooden skis, a tradition that still lives on today among enthusiasts who want to experience nordic skiing the traditional way.
Your Instructor - A Passion for Skiing Since Childhood
I grew up with skis on my feet. As a child, I attended an outdoor kindergarten where we were only outside, and during winter we spent a lot of time on skis. This laid the foundation for my lifelong love of cross-country skiing and Norwegian outdoor life.
Experience and Expertise
My experience with nordic skiing includes:
- Many years as a competitive cross-country skier
- 5 years as a ski coach, helping countless ski enthusiasts improve their technique
- Expert in all forms of skiing - from groomed tracks to backcountry tours
- Keeping tradition alive by making my own wooden skis, just like the Vikings did
